Estonian History Museum
To mark the centenary of the Republic of Estonia, the Estonian History Museum opened an exciting history complex on the grounds of the former Maarjamäe summer manor. Visitors can see interesting exhibitions in the newly renovated 19th century Maarjamäe Palace, the Film Museum and Maarjamäe Stables. In the palace park one can enjoy a nice walk, admire the beautiful sea view and take a look at the outdoor exhibition of Soviet-era monuments.
The permanent exhibition in Maarjamäe Palace “My Free Country” takes visitors on a journey through one hundred years – from the birth of the Republic to the present day. The Film Museum permanent exhibition “Take ONE” provides a detailed look at the process of filmmaking and reveals many of its secrets.

Estonian National Museum
On Friday April 26th the conference will take place in the Estonian National Museum, located in the Tartu, in Raadi area, in 2 kilometers distance of the city centre.
The Estonian National Museum (ERM) new building was opened in October 2016, designed by the Paris-based architecture firm, DGT Architects. More information on museum history and location: 1, 2, 3, 4
Museum has 6000 square metres of exhibition space. Most of the exhibition space is dedicated to the permanent exhibition Encounters, expanding upon Estonian cultural history and everyday life and stretching out on a timeline from the present day to the Ice Age. More information: 1, 2, 3, 4
The second biggest permanent exhibition is Echo of the Urals, providing insight into the lives of the different people speaking Finno-Ugric languages and inhabiting the northern parts of this corner of the world. The exhibition takes visitors through four different seasons, introducing people related to Estonians. More information: 1, 2, 3
The main temporary exhibitions hall will host in April 2019, in the time of the Centennial Celebrations of the Republic of Estonia, the joint exhibition of museums across Estonia, looking into the changes in society in 1990s in the exhibition DIY Estonia. More information: 1, 2
